What’s wrong about experimenting on animals? For vivisectors, poisoning, stunning, burning, and murdering animals are all part of their daily profession. These heinous crimes would be felonies if they were carried out outside of laboratories. But every day in laboratories, with little to no protection against abuse, animals suffer and pass away.

Animals in labs undergo physical and psychological anguish in addition to the agony of the actual tests. They are kept in lifeless cages and are robbed of everything that is normal and significant to them.More than 110 million animals, including dogs, cats, monkeys, fish, rabbits, hamsters, mice, rats, frogs, , guinea pigs, and birds are killed every year in laboratories for curiosity-driven experiments , biology lessons, chemical, drug, testing, medical training, food, and cosmetics testing. Prior to their gruesome deaths, while others have holes drilled into their heads some are made to breathe deadly gases, while others are made to spend hours immobile in restraints, some have their skins burnt off while fully conscious, or their spinal cords crushed.

The top five reasons why it must end are as follows:

1. It’s outdated and medieval.

Innovative researchers have created non-animal research techniques that are more affordable, quicker, and more accurate than animal testing. These techniques include organs-on-chips, organoids, human-based microdosing, in vitro technology, human-patient simulators, and sophisticated computer modelling.

2. That is poor science.

95 out of every 100 medications that pass animal testing are found to be ineffective in people,  according to official statistics. Isn’t there any other strong reason to say no to animal tested products. They just don’t work! Period!

3. It is not required at all.

Another pointless animal experiment supported by government money is not what the world needs in order for a university researcher to keep collecting grants.

4. It’s a thorough waste of money and resources.

Because animal trials mislead experimenters and waste valuable time, money, and other resources that could be used for human-relevant research, they prolong the suffering of people who are waiting for effective remedies. Up to half of animal experiments are so useless that they are never even reported. When groups like colour, age, gender, sexual orientation, or species are invoked to excuse discrimination, bigotry has already begun.

5. It’s not moral.

It is wrong to purposely inflict pain, loneliness, and dread to 100 million conscious, feeling animals while keeping them in a laboratory cage. Imagine being stuck in a dark lift for just an hour and stretch that time to your entire lifetime, and even then you can get just an inkling of the pain and suffering that these innocent animals endure till they are killed.
